Welcome to the IGH School-Age Care Program-Spartan Kids' Care
IGH School-Age Care Vision
To provide a quality program that ensures a safe, cooperative, student led environment that serves the diverse needs of the school while striving through continuous improvement to foster the development of our youth as service leaders in the Inver Grove Heights community.
The Inver Grove Heights School-Age Care Program is a place where each child is a cherished and unique member of the team. We operate year round in each of the elementary school buildings before and after school, on non-school days and during the summer for children in grades K-5. Programming is based on age-appropriate, multi-cultural themed, student driven activities.
We feel that children are growing in their capabilities, and it is important that we provide them with a rich choice of activities. Each day the children are offered a variety of developmentally-appropriate planned activities that encourage play and recreation with an emphasis on developing positive social and lifelong skills. Each child in the program will be nurtured, kept safe and encouraged to pursue their own interests and to develop friendships, independence and confidence.
Curriculum areas include: arts and crafts, reading, computers, music, drama, physical education, outdoor recreation, science, cooking, service learning, homework help, leadership development and more.
