Christine Joa - Site Supervisor - AM
I earned my Bachelors Degree from Saint Mary’s University in Human Services with a focus on child development. My work with children for the past 26 years includes being a Child Advocate, Head Start Lead Teacher, and a Paraprofessional. I am also a proud parent of a wonderful 24 year old graduate of UW River Falls. In my free time I enjoy spending time with her, my amazing parents, and other family and friends. I also enjoy gardening, camping, traveling, wood burning, beading, and scrapbooking. I look forward to spending time teaching and learning with your children, and getting to know you!
Amanda Troolin - PM Site Supervisor
Hello! My name is Amanda, and this is my second year here at School Age Care. I have been working at different after school programs, camps, and schools for the past 10 years and really enjoy watching young people grow and learn. I have a Bachelor' degree in Biology from University of Minnesota Duluth, and a Master’s in Environmental Education from University of Wisconsin- Stevens Point. Some of my favorite things to do in my free time are camping, hiking, canoeing, knitting, crocheting, drawing and many other crafts too!
Jodie Belknap - PM Site Supervisor
I enjoy the relationships that we build at SAC with the kids and their families. We have a well rounded program including, but not limited to: outdoor activities/education, sports, arts/crafts, science, literature, technology, cooking, and so much more! A child driven program. I am grateful that you entrust your children to us, and quite frankly, I think that I get more from the children then I offer! Each one comes with their own personalities, and it is a joy to work with them. I look forward to the years to come. In my spare time I like to play in the dirt at our new country home and be a steward of the land, I like to work on my fabric arts and look forward to my new quilting machine.
Sara King - Support Para
My name is Sara King and I started working for the school district in 2014. I am from St. Paul and currently live in Inver Grove Heights. I enjoy reading, playing sports, and being at our family cabin. I also enjoy spending time with my friends and family. I have a dog named Abby that is almost 11 years old, we enjoy taking walks and playing with her toys.
Mark Krey - Special Ed Para
I have been with SAC since 2003. I also work at Branch Out during the day and have been with the district since 1992. My experience includes being a 1:1 Special Education Para. I have chosen education as my career because I enjoy working with students, helping them succeed in school and in the school age care program.
I have two grown daughters and a grandson that I enjoy spending time with. I like to work out, ride dirt bikes, snowmobiles and wakeboard. We also like to see movies.
Julie Hrbacek - Special Ed Para
I grew up in the suburbs of Atlanta, Georgia as the second to the last of eight children. My favorite childhood pass time was singing and going down to the creek and woods to play. I am a mom to four wonderful kids.
If I'm not at work you can usually find me with family and friends, cooking or baking, volunteering, reading a good book- (one of my favorites is The Hiding Place
)- or watching a good movie. I have a degree in Interior Design and love to think outside the box and create. One of my favorite desserts is Strawberry Shortcake with whip creme. Mostly, I love being with others and a good hearty laugh.
Daniel Pinedo - Support Para
My name is Daniel Pinedo and this is my first year working at SAC! I’m a graduate from Minnesota State University Mankato with a Bachelors in elementary education, race studies and communications. I grew up going to schools in the ISD 197 district and discovered a passion in being an educator through the teachers I’ve had over the years.
In my spare time I enjoy being a part-time musician and contributing to the local Minnesota music community, being motorcycle enthusiast and collecting vintage electric guitars!
Charlie Davis - Inclusion Specialist
I have a Bachelor's of Science in Nutrition and a minor in Biology from the U of M - Twin Cities. I've spent the previous 3-4 years working with seniors with memory loss, including co-managing a home in Minnetonka. In my free time I play club rugby in Minneapolis, read frequently and do crosswords. I'm looking forward to working with the kids at SAC.
