Jon Gerster - Site Supervior

I joined SAC in March of 2015. I graduated from Buena Vista University with a Bachelor's in Pre-Ministry in 2009. Just recently, I furthered my education by graduating from the Leadership Development Institute in 2014. I thoroughly enjoy teaching and interacting with youth as I have extensively worked as a Youth Leader at Okoboji Lutheran Bible Camp ELCA in Okoboji, IA, Hosanna Church in Lakeville, and a City On A Hill Church in Rosemount. I love mentoring/coaching kids, encouraging them to find out and use some of their gifts and talents, and providing different avenues of individual learning techniques. I love to cover songs and play music on my guitar, go to the movies, eating at juicy lucy establishments, running, reading new books, and hanging out with friends and family. I live in Inver Grove Heights with my wife, Renee, and our cat, Bane.

Paige John - Site Supervisor
I have been working in the School-Age Care program since January 2011. I have a Bachelor's degree in art and theater from the University of Minnesota and my daughter is also a recent graduate of the U of M, after attending schools in ISD 197. I really enjoy interacting with children - helping them learn and explore!

Jason Tutewohl - Support Para

Judy Funk - Special Ed. Para
I have worked in the School Age Care program since 1995
as a special ed para. I enjoy watching sports, my favorites are baseball and hockey. I enjoy music and once in awhile I get out fishing, which I love. I enjoy interacting with the children and look forward to another great year!

Matt Bjorklund  - Support Para
I've been working at Mendota School-Age Care since 2008. I have spent the last 7-8 years working as either a program staff or a site supervisor in School-Age Care programs at South Washington County and at the Eagan YMCA. I'm what they call a "Y kid," having grown up in the YMCA programs and then gone on to work in them. Most of my free time is spent reading, writing, being with friends and family, and staying in shape. I'm somewhat of a sports fanatic, and always have a great time taking the kids outdoors and to the gym. I'm thrilled to be working at Mendota, where I went to Kindergarten and where my aunt Carol Bjorklund taught for many years. I look forward to a great school year ahead and hope to get to know everyone here.

Hi!  I moved to the States 19 years ago from Japan. I started working with SAC last November and really enjoy being with all the children. They are so funny sometimes and the stories they tell always make me smile.  When not at work I enjoy reading and attending my two boys soccer and baseball games.
